| About Dr. Lee-Lau Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, I attended California State University, Sacramento for my undergraduate degree in psychology. My Master's and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology were obtained from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alameda. I am a licensed, Clinical Psychologist with a specialty in treating adults in individual therapy. Because of my broad range of experience and training (outpatient, community mental health, and hospital-based) I work with a wide variety of clients, issues and diagnoses. In my clinical work, I use a number of different approaches. I believe treatment needs to be tailored to fit the needs and uniqueness of the individual rather than attempting to fit the client into a single theory or approach. In other words, the treatment must work for you in light of your background, developmental stage, personality and goals. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and especially those who are navigating a significant developmental change such as entering adulthood, college, new parenthood, career change, and those who are entering the retirement or elderly stage of life. Aside from my practice in Walnut Creek, I am also a clinician at Asian Pacific Psychological Services (APPS) in Oakland, CA. APPS is a community-based, non-profit organization that serves the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Within this setting, I often work with Chinese, Cantonese speaking clients and provide counseling, therapy and supportive services as needed. |
